Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, unique shopping
Categories : Shopping
In the heart of Paris Rive Gauche, Le Bon Marché has opened "Les Salons Particuliers" a personalized, intimate, ultra-refined apartment, bathed in light and spirit.
French and international customers deserve all the attention. For them, for you, the exceptional must be the rule. For these demanding clients with limited time and seeking a different way of shopping, Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche opens its private lounges. By appointment, personal shoppers await you there.
This project was devised and realized by the teams of Le Bon Marché and Olivier Di Maggio, Director of Customer Relations and Services of Le Bon Marché. Aware that the luxury clientele demands bespoke services, he led this large-scale operation with the in-house architects and the many internal talents. In less than a year, a 300 m2 space emerged on the third floor of the store. All facets of the Bon Marché spirit can be found here. Mahogany paneling, 1930s lighting, 1950s furniture, special edition of the famous novel by Emile Zola "Au bonheur des dames" (1883) inspired by Le Bon Marché... Each salon – Aristide, the Library, the Grand Salon – is furnished differently with collection pieces.
"Our salons are all different and each illustrates a facet of the 'Bon Marché spirit' chic and daring, a left bank spirit, trendy, mobile, open to all forms of artistic expression. These are places for living and discovery. In these fitting rooms you can have a drink at the bar, stroll before the artworks of Joana Vasconcelos or Martin Parr, browse a book. Take a journey through time and the history of the neighborhood of which BM is a flagship. Each salon is different and its decor is not fixed. Our clients make their choice in calm and comfort. We offer them the expertise and experience of our sales advisors, personal shoppers with a keen eye," explains Olivier Di Maggio.
A haute couture welcome
"French or international, hurried and mobile, changeable by nature, the luxury clientele is curious about all novelties, eager for hospitality, service, selection, and discretion" specifies Olivier Di Maggio. To respond to this, there must be a VIP welcome worthy of fashion houses. "By appointment, our personal shopper and possibly our stylists with a keen eye will help you compose your silhouette". Because nothing beats the talent and experience of a professional to reveal and above all highlight the personality. And for the time of choice to be synonymous with well-being and pleasure, each salon is a place for living and discovery. Some hurried men prefer to give instructions to the personal shopper who makes the pre-selection alone. Then, the client reserves a salon to try on the chosen outfits.
A digital experience
Le Bon Marché offers a complete experience to its privileged clientele. After fittings in the fitting room, the "Aristide" lounges and the "Grand Salon" offer a connected mirror screen. Photos and videos allow you to see yourself from all angles - front, profile, back - and are archived for your possible next visit. The requirement of detail for a unique client. For Olivier Di Maggio each client is unique, it must be "tailor-made", paying attention "I like the demand for detail, and want to please. If we do not have this authenticity, the client realizes it. I like people to be happy."
His approach is part of the dynamic Bon Marché, daring and mobile, strong with its four major annual exhibitions, its welcome of artists, designers, creators, new brands. "We are the only large left bank store, rooted here and open to the world. We want to be," he concludes, "a major player in our neighborhood, a precursor of the spirit of the times." Hôtel de Lille just steps from the famous left bank department store shares this philosophy and is a partner of Le Bon Marché to offer its clients ever more attention and refinement.
